Blue City Cycles

Blue City Cycles has been a Bridgeport fixture since owners Owen Lloyd and Clare Knipper -- both Boulevard Bikes veterans -- opened the doors in 2009. They carry Masi, Haro, Del Sol, and Linus, do steel frame repairs and powder coating, and will take on the kind of project most shops would turn away.

The vibe is more neighborhood garage than corporate showroom -- fair prices, straight talk, and honest mechanics who tell you what actually needs fixing. One of the few independent bike shops serving the South Side, and it shows in the loyalty of riders who've been coming back for 17 years. The shop cat, Vanya, is part of the experience.
