Working Bikes

Working Bikes is not your typical bike shop. It's a nonprofit that has been giving bikes a second life since 1999, shipping over 150,000 refurbished bikes to communities around the world.

Walk in and you'll find affordable used bikes averaging around $275, a team of over 960 volunteers, and a mission that goes beyond cycling. Their WTF! Night (women/trans/nonbinary mechanics every Thursday 5-9pm) and programs like Cycle of Power and Cycle of Peace make this one of the most important cycling institutions in Chicago.
